Both teams were strong on the pitcher’s mound on Tuesday, but St. Joseph was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Niles Vikings JV on Tuesday. Hunter Fazi started the game for Niles Vikings JV and recorded 12 outs.
St. Joseph got things started in the first inning. Z Polk singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
Niles Vikings JV evened things up at one in the top of the second inning when Logan Thompson singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.

Fazi took the loss for Niles Vikings JV. He went four innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out four and walking one.
Nick Polk started the game for St. Joseph. He lasted four innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out five
Mason Waggoner led Niles Vikings JV with three hits in three at-bats. Niles Vikings JV didn’t commit a single error in the field. Lincoln Carrington had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
Grant Hardy went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead St. Joseph in hits. St. Joseph was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Jacob Halsey had the most chances in the field with seven.
