Niles Vikings JV watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 10-0 loss to Lakeshore on Tuesday. Lakeshore scored on a groundout by Lies and a single by R Kolessar in the first inning.
The Niles Vikings JV struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Lakeshore, giving up ten runs.
Lakeshore fired up the offense in the first inning, when Lies grounded out, scoring one run.
One bright spot for Niles Vikings JV was a single by Hunter Fazi in the first inning.
Kolessar was the winning pitcher for Lakeshore. He allowed three hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out one and walking one. Mooney threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Austin Bradley took the loss for Niles Vikings JV. He surrendered seven runs on two hits over one inning.
Fazi led Niles Vikings JV with two hits in two at bats.
Lakeshore tallied seven hits in the game. L. Kolessar and Kolessar each managed multiple hits for Lakeshore. Lakeshore didn’t commit a single error in the field. Martindale had the most chances in the field with four.
