Game Recap

The Niles Varsity Volleyball Team came away with a big 3 set sweep over Class A Honorable Mention Ranked Gull Lake tonight 25-21, 25-22, and 25-19. We had great chemistry on the court tonight. We played smart ball and knew when to hit aggressively and when to place the ball strategically to wear down Gull Lake’s defense. Many of our younger players stepped into some big roles on the court to add to the dynamic of veteran leadership and truly worked as a team to take down Gull Lake. Niles is now 9-3 and ranked number 7 in the state in Class B according to MIVCA and will travel to Kalamazoo Central next Wednesday for a SMAC Conference Match.

Game Recap

The Niles Freshmen Volleyball team fell in a tight match to Gull Lake Wednesday night in 3 sets 23-25, 25-22, and 12-15. The Lady Vikes made some mental errors and beat themselves tonight. They’re making improvements everyday in practices but can’t figure out how to finish a game. We were up in all 3 games at some point, but the girls couldn’t execute at the right times. The freshmen will have a week off then play at Kalamazoo Central next Wednesday.

Game Recap

The Niles JV Volleyball team fell to South Bend St. Joe 16-25, 23-25 this evening. The girls improved play tremenndously compared to our play on Saturday but, still played very timid and hesitated on a lot of balls. The talking was not there and we could have executed more if the talking was there. The Niles JV Lady Vikes now take their record to 11-8-1. The Lady Vikes will return Wednesday evening at home where they will take on Gull Lake.
