Lalone’s Walkoff Gives Niles Vikings Varsity Victory Over St. Joseph

Niles Vikings Varsity took Tuesday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 3-2 walk-off victory over St. Joseph.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Niles Vikings Varsity pitchers struck out two, while Bradford sat down one.

Bryce Lake earned the win for Niles Vikings Varsity. He pitched one-third of an inning, allowing zero runs, one hit, and walking zero. Bradford took the loss for St. Joseph. He went six and a third innings, surrendering three runs, six hits, striking out one, and walking one.

Jakob Huffman started the game for Niles Vikings Varsity. He tossed six and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs, five hits, and striking out two.

Keegan Neumann led Niles Vikings Varsity with two hits in two at bats. Niles Vikings Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field. Austin Curran had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
